Evening all,
So im Mark, im new to the whole Westfield thing, and about 3 weeks ago bought a (2nd hand) SEIW 1600 CVH in dark blue from near Coventry. i would love to build one but thought it best to buy first to get my head round the car before jumping in on a build with no experience of how they tick.
Im really happy with the car and im keen to get to a meet when i can, but i do work a lot and away quite a bit so it will be hit and miss i think.
The car has developed some noise from the rear, which to start with i though was a CV joint, but now im not so sure as the noise is getting a bit more defined. So i could do with some advice / some more experienced ears to try and work out what i need to replace rather than spending a bit of time and cash that i dont need to on things that i think may have gone but could well be fine.
But mainly some tips on what to take off, the car came with no build manual, so im in situation of having to learn as i go, taking things to bits and re bilding are no problem (i own a defender 90 that i reguarly fix) just dont want to start taking bits off i dont need to.
So if anyone can spare me a few mins one eveing for me to drive over and borrow some ears would be great. Im in Maldon but reguarly visit friends in Southend / Chelmsford and Colchester so im happy to travel if someone has a bit of spare time!
Thanks in advance and i hope to meet some of you in the not to distant future before the summer is over!

Hi Mark
Good to meet you on Sunday. I only remembered once I'd left that we didn't get to the bottom of your noise.
If you've not already been there, I'd point you in the direction of the main Westfield owners club forum. It gets a LOT more traffic than here, and there's a lot of knowledge waiting to be accessed. I'm sure the resident experts will give you some good pointers.
It's at http://boardroom.wscc.co.uk/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi
The techie section is what you want. Sorry if I'm just repeating something you already know.
Cheers
