After you have built you car, you may want to register it for the road but what paperwork do you need to fill in!

There are three main documents you will need, they are:

SVA1 Document which can be found online HERE

V627/1 (Built up vehicle inspection report) Document which can be found online HERE

You will also need a V55/4 or a V55/5 which is available from your local postoffice
The V55/4 is for registering a vehicle made up of used parts, this is liable to have a Q plate
The V55/5 is for registering a vehicle made up of NEW parts and can have a new registratio number.

All of the documents can be applied for as a pack from your local DVLA office
